Hypothetically, a biochemist forgot to load the unknown on the plate with the standards. She quickly spots another plate with her unknown and adds it to the solvent tank 20 minutes after the first plate. She takes both plates out after an hour, develops them both and identifies the unknown. Can we trust her results? Why or why not?
Solution
Ans. We cannot trust her results as the condition imparted to the standard and to that of unknown would vary leading to some variation in the results. A time lag of 20 minutes can hamper the results. The results would had been considered if both samples received the same condition.
