extended phenotypes refers to expression of genes in behaviour of organisms. For example if a new allele arose in beaver or bird population that improved the dam making or nest buiding , that allele would grow in prevalence. Now the ones with this allele would make better dams and nest and pass on this allele to their next generations.

The second example can be quoted of human eye colour. Some human have brown eyeys, some have black , some blue and so on. Tjis variation in eye colour is also an example of extended phenotype.
