For the equation Pt23cospit6 A Find the local maxima and min
For the equation:
P(t)=2-3cos((pi*t)/6)
A. Find the local maxima and minima for 0<t<36
B. Find the global maxima and minima for 0<t<36
Is there a difference? I have already found the values for A but I would think that the local on that interval and th global on the same interval of a cyclic function would be the same. Am I right?

Solution
dP/dt=1/2sin(pit/6)=0 pit/6=npi t=6n (nbelongs to natural number) therefore maximum value occurs at t=6 P(t)=5 maximum whic is locan n global maximum both P(t)min occurs at t=12 P(t)=-1 which local n global minimum for both :) You can be sure of this answer 100 % :)
