Why does SSSS or AAAA not work to show similarity for quadri
Why does SSSS or AAAA not work to show similarity for quadrilaterals? You may give examples to answer.
Solution
If you have four sticks and attach them at their ends, it forms a quadrilateral. If you change any of its angle it still remains a quadrilateral and it need not be similar to the previous quadrilateral. So SSSS doesnot work to show similarity for quadrilaterals. For any quadrilateral in AAAA, the angles are same so they must be 90 degrees each. Then it becomes a rectangle. Again, though, there is no AAAA theorem for quadrilaterals; any two rectangles, regardless of their precise shape, have the same angles - they\'re all 90 degrees. Thus SSSS or AAAA not work to show similarity for quadrilaterals.
