How are voltage sources and current sources suppressed What
How are voltage sources and current sources suppressed? What is the difference in using source suppression in Superposition versus using source suppression in finding the Thevenin equivalent circuit?

  Solution
2.
Suppression of voltage source: Supression moto is to nullify the actual value of the source. i.e inorder the voltage to be zero, It has to be shorted. And it is replaced by a wire
Suppression of current source: In order a current source is supressed. It has to be opened/ remove the current soure from the loop.
Source suppression in Superposition theorem.
In superposition we calculate the action of the each source (voltage/current) at a time. And sum up all the values to get the combined result.
But, In Thevenins circuit, we suppress Voltage and current source to know the Thevinen\'s Equivalent Resistance.
