The question to address is: “What have you learned about statistics?” In developing your responses, consider – at a minimum – and discuss the application of each of the course elements in analyzing and making decisions about data (counts and/or measurements).
The course elements include:
Descriptive statistics
Inferential statistics
Hypothesis development and testing
Selection of appropriate statistical tests
Evaluating statistical results.
Solution
Descriptive statistics gives the summary of a collected data set like mean, medaun , mode, standard deviation, range, qartiles etc.
Hypothesis testing includes lots of statistical tests, like testing the difference between two means.
First construct the null and altrnative hypothesis, set the level of significance. Then calculate the test statistic. Compare the computed value of t test statitic with the obtained value from t table.
If the computed value is falls in the critical region reject the null hypothesis and conclude that the test is significant.
