Person centred approach or person time approach is basically a humanistic approach in which the counsellor or the guide has one to one aproach with the client, who understands the client\'s emotional and mental status as being broken or upset and believes in positive recovery of the client. In the person centred approach, the counsellor has to be genuine with high regards for the patient as a positive peraon, and should be able to makt the patient believe so as well. There are some basic assumptions that are made during the person centred approach, which are as follows:

3) Client is in charge, responsible
4) Humans develop in positive and constructive manner
5) Unconditional Positive Regard - Acceptance and caring
6) Accurate empathetic understanding - ability to grasp the subjective world of another

1) The client has to have high regard for himself and has to have a in acceptance of the fact that the smoking habit is unhealthy. The client requires an environment where he\'s been taken care of. The client requires to have a positive attitude and lastly, the client has to take responsibility of himslef and be in charge.
