6. Determine the loop current through the 5-12 resistor. The loop is located in the x-y plane, its area is 4 m2, and the magnetic flux density is B 2 cos 2t T. In the drawing below, show the direction of the current for 1 ms according to Lenz\' Law! a\' Law 5 522 OB

Solution

V=-n(d/dt)

n=1

=B.A=2*cos(2t)*4=8*cos(2t) Wb

d/dt = (d/dt)(8*cos(2t)) = -16*sin(2t) Wb/s

V= -n(d/dt) = 16*sin(2t)

i = V/R = [16*sin(2t)]/5 =3.2*sin(2t) A

At t= 1ms B = 2*cos(2t) is decreasing in nature hence the induced current i= 3.2sin(2t) will to set up an induced B in upward direction which will oppose it\'s cause i.e the cause flux will be opposed by new induced current flux which is in upward direction increasing type. whether the cause flux is in uoward direction .... so currrent should flow anti-clock wise to get a upward directed B at t=1ms
