Explain what factors underlying the signaling specificity and the specificity of the cellular response
Solution
Factors effecting on signalling specificity:
Cell signalling is a very important process for basic activity of different cells and their communication between cells to perform any task. for basic growth and development it has a very important role.
If there are error in signal processing and trunsduction then it can be responsible for different diseases, cancer, autoimmunity, diabetis etc.
signalling can be extra cellular or it can be intracellular.
Now transcriptional regulation like cyclic AMP is an important factor for cell signalling.
now there are different factor effecting signal process which are:
Intracrine signals that produce from a target cell which can stay within the target cells.
Autocrine signals means which are producing by the target cell and also secreted, but also affect the target cell ownself via receptors.
juxtacrine signals transmitted along cell memebrane via protein and lipid chain.
Paracrine signals generally target different cells in the vicinity and those are called emitting cells.
Now Endocrine signals target generally distant cells, it is so much important because it produces hormones and that hormones transfer into the body system through blood.
cell- cell concact is also an important factor for cell signalling process. there are also gap junction that connect theit cytoplasomic connection. and these are all very much specific for perfect and identical cellular response.
