I have a simple question about differential equation so dpdt

I have a simple question about differential equation, so

dp/dt = -p^2/50+2P where p is measured in thousands of fish and t is measured in years.

In the qeustion, it says, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, which is managing the lake, wants to issue fishing licenses for the harvesting of the fish.

(this amounts to a constant term being subtracted off of the right hand side above, which is a function of h, the number of licenses issued).

Each fishing license is valid for the annual take of 3000 fish.

so the differential equation becomes dp/dt = -p^2/50 + 2P - ( )f(h)

My question is what unit should that 3000 be in the differential equation above?

Solution

As the problem says P is measured in thousands so enter 3000 in units of thousands so it becomes 3 in units of thousands

I have a simple question about differential equation, so dp/dt = -p^2/50+2P where p is measured in thousands of fish and t is measured in years. In the qeustion
