Solution

GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE

NATURAL USER INTERFACE

GUI is a A program interface that takes advantage of the computer\'s graphics capabilities to make the program easier to use. Well-designed graphical user interfaces can free the user from learning complex command languages.

A natural user interface (NUI) is a system for human-computer interaction that the user operates through intuitive actions related to natural, everyday human behavior.

Graphical user interfaces, in case of Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac series are like pointer on the computer screen, devices such as mouse or trackball, icons on the desktop , menus etc.

Examples of natural user interfaces are like Touch screen interfaces , Gesture recognition systems, Speech recognition systems, Brain-machine interfaces etc.

If this UI is graphical/visual in nature, its termed as GUI.

Any general interface by which a human being or machine interacts with a machine. This interface could be mechanical/graphical/sensory etc in nature.

SPEECH RECOGNITION:

This involves the computer taking the user\'s speech and interpreting what has been said. This allows the user to control the computer by voice, rather than having to use the mouse and keyboard or in other words Speech recognition is the ability of a machine or program to identify words and phrases in spoken language and convert them to a machine-readable format.

SPEECH SYNTHESIS:

Speech synthesis is the counterpart of speech recognition. Speech synthesis is the computer-generated simulation of human speech. It is used to translate written information into aural information. It is also used to assist the vision-impaired so that, for example, the contents of a display screen can be automatically read aloud to a blind user.
