Two forces are applied on AB

250N is applied at an angle of 70 degrees to the horizontal ( -ve direction)

1500N is applied at an angle of 20 degrees to the horizontal ( +ve direction)

Lets calculate forces along X axis and Y axis:

Fx = -250cos70 + 1500cos15 = 1363.38 Nt

Fy = 250sin70 + 1500sin15 = 623.15 Nt

Resultant force F = sqrt( Fx^2 +Fy^2) = sqrt( 1363.38^2 + 623.15^2)

= 1499.04 Nt along AB
