The graph shows values of drag coefficient for flow over a sphere as a function of Reynolds number. Explain why there is a sharp drop in the curve as indicated by the arrow.Solution
Okay...curve for Turbulent and Laminar flow are almost similiar but question arises why there is sudden drop in drag coefficient over reynolds number. Sudden drop is due to seperation of flow in which negative pressure difference is created along the path of flow .
