Prove this question and answer why. The Falkirk Wheel is a giant Ferris elevator for boats. You are the conductor of the wheel and you are in charge of being sure that boat traffic flows through the Falkirk channel smoothly. However, you notice that up on the top of the wheel there was a traffic jam and you have let many boats use the wheel to be lifted up to the top channel since then. There are now 5 boats sitting up on the bridge. No one is in danger as far as you can tell, but your boss comes running out screaming \"There is too much weight!! All those boats plus the water weight will cause the bridge to collapse!!\" What do you tell him to calm him down and prove you deserve a promotion to lead traffic controller
Solution
Here I will tell him that the wheel is rolling on the ground due to wheel is transferred from one position to other without any actual transfer of weight and hence we can easily make the boats supply without any bridge collapse.
Since the rolling dynamics is applicable here so the weight is not the only cause which will roll the boat and damage the bridge but here the main cause of bridge damage is continuous force application
Due to these all point the boss will definitely being relaxed and impressed
