Research and identify three different applications that purposely make use of distortion in their amplifier circuits.

If the design of amplifier circuit and setting the biasing Q-point of amplifier at the wrong position on the load line makes distortion. If we apply too large an input signal to the amplifier, the resultant output signal may not be an exact reproduction of the original input signal waveform and this is called as amplifier distortion.

Due to this improper design of circuit and improper setting of Q point makes the amplifier distortion. And distortion of the output signal waveform also:

due to incorrect biasing levels the amplification may not be taking place over the whole signal cycle and aslo the amplification may not be a linear signal over the entire frequency range of inputs.

Due to amplifer distortion the distortion in amplitude takes place and also distortion occurs in frequency and phase also takes place.
