For the circuit shown, what is the percent error in the current calculated for the assumption of ideal and practical diode behavior? Assume V=3.3 Volts and R=470 Ohms. 30.43% 21.21% 26.92 % 23.33%

Solution

The Diode in forward biased, so idealy it muts be short circuited, that is the voltage drop across didoe is zero

So the current in loop

I=3.3/470=7.02mA

But in ptractical didod the dideo will drop cutin voltage=0.7V

if we consider this

I=V-0.7/R=3.3-0.7/470=5.53mA

error=ideal-practical/ideal=7.02-5.53/7.02=21.21%

 For the circuit shown, what is the percent error in the current calculated for the assumption of ideal and practical diode behavior? Assume V=3.3 Volts and R=4
