Solution

x^2 + 2x   + 6y -29=0

x^2 + 2x +1 -1 +6y-29=0

(x+1)^2   + 6y-30=0

y= -(1/6)(x+1)^2 +5

Here 4p=6

p=3/2

Here vertex= (-1,5)

focus = (h,k+p)= (-1,5+3/2)=(-1, 13/2)

directrix y= k-p = 5-3/2= 7/2
