To produce x units of a religious medal costs C(x) = 14x + 26. The revenue is R(x) = 27x. Both cost and revenue are in dollars. Find the break-even quantity. Find the profit from 430 units. Find the number of units that must be produced for a profit of $130.

Solution

Profit for 430 units = R(430) - C(430)

= ( 27 x 430) - [ (14 x 430 ) + 26 ]

= 11610 - [ 6020 + 26 ]

= 11610 - 6046

= $ 5564

Hence profit for 430 units is $ 5564.

To produce x units of a religious medal costs C(x) = 14x + 26. The revenue is R(x) = 27x. Both cost and revenue are in dollars. Find the break-even quantity. F
