Technically a customer is defined as someone who buys/receives/consumes a product/service from a business/company and is equipped with the power to choose in between different suppliers/providers.

In todays Business environment customer plays a very centric role as the saying goes \"customer is king\" or \"customer is always right\". Many businesses have built their product.service around the needs of customer. Companies closely monitor the relationship that they have with their consumers and constantly gather feedbacks and comments to improve on the their product/service.

With the advent of technology the power has gradually been transfered into the hands of the customers. Most of the customers spend hours researching on the company and the product before they actually decide to go for it.
