Solution

The advice that I would give this person is to remove form her mind the fact that her wrist injury would affect her performance.Also,I would advice her to constantly focus on her practice sessions and improve her fitness levels.I would also advise her to engage herself in training programs that would prevent further injury to her wrist.I would develop develop an exercise plan that would include aerobic, resistance and flexibility training that will suit her metabolic and physical demands required for swimming.Apart from all this,I would constantly encourage her and boost her confidence level that will help her get back to her form and give a better performance.Training of older adults is good and helpful.The ageing process in older adults deteriorates their bones and muscles,their flexibility decreases and their metabolism slows down.Resistance exercise can help reduce these ageing symptoms and help maintain a healthy body and life.
