body shape: many reef fishes change the shape of the body from slender to flat body. they dodge their body into reef to save themselves from predation.

colouration: fishes have vibrant colour to match with the color of reef. this helps them to camouflage with the reef to save themselves.

feeding habit: the fishes evolved their mouth part in such a way that they can easily dig the food from the reef

the coral reef and many atlanctic reef fishes show symbiotic relationship. either both are benefitted with the relationship or one is benefitted and other remains unharmed.
