Cellular Classification Identify the class to which each of
Solution
Ans. A. Connective Tissue-
I. Blood- B cell, Erythrocyte (= RBC), Macrophages, Thrombocyte
II. Bone – Osteocyte
Adipocytes
Note: Blood is a connective tissue. B cell (B-lymphocyte), erythrocytes, macrophages, and thrombocytes are component of blood. Macrophages may also be fixed in other connective tissue where they engulf dead cells and invading antigens. Osteocyte is a cellular component of bond (a connective tissue). Adipocyte is also a cellular component of connective tissue that serves to store fats.
B. Epithelial Tissue – Ciliated columnar cell, goblet cell.
Note: Columnar epithelial cells line the lumen of digestive tract. Goblet cell is a glandular epithelial cell that secretes mucus.
C. Muscle Tissue – Myofiber,
Myofiber is multinucleated myocyte.
D. Nervous Tissue- Rods & cones, neuron, Schwann cell.
Rods & cones are photosensitive specialized neurons. Schwann cell is a component of peripheral nervous system that produces myelin sheath around axon of neurons.
