Solution

Macro-emulsions (or soluble oils) can contain up to 80% oil. Combined with water they form an emulsion in which the oil droplet dispersed in the water have a diameter of more than 1 micron. They are milky in appearance.
Micro-emulsions (or semi-synthetic) contain less oil (around 40%) and form smaller droplets (less than 1 micron). They are translucent in appearance.

Macro emulsion particle are weakly dispersed in the fluid.their relarively large and irregular ly shaped particle suspension in water creates the opacity charactersric of macro emulsion oil.

Translucent to transparent fluid s are the result of micro emulsion formation of uniform coolant particle that are tightly dispersed and suspended in water.
