In the two statements is the driving force due to the first

In the two statements is the driving force due to the first or second law of thermodynamics. The systems are in bold, only take into account if the systems are changed. Explain in detail

Warming up exercises muscles are worked cells “burn” more glucose and the oxidation releases energy which is stored as ATP. Only 50% is stored and the rest increases the temperature of the muscle tissue.

It is observed that the trees in the forest do not grow in straight lines. Plants do not grow in straight lines typicaly unless planted by humans. Natural forests do not grow in straight lines

Solution

Here 1st statement is related to Second Law of thermodynamics

As here the energy gained by biological metabolation is giving 50% to us for warming up the cells rest energy is left or rest energy is not utilized as useful work

II law of thermodynamics says that Total heat absorbed from the source is not utilized as useful work and it is rejected to low temperature sink

Also 2nd statement says that trees in forest do not grow in straight line which shows the non spontaneity of the grow of trees as they are free to expand

due to this property trees grow randomly in any direction while if we force them to grow in straight line then they can griow straight only

In the two statements is the driving force due to the first or second law of thermodynamics. The systems are in bold, only take into account if the systems are
