The time when I went \"above and beyond call of duty\"

Context:

This question takes me back to the days when I just finished my 12th standard. It was the time when I had to decide between my dream and my familys\'. I wanted to be an actor but hailing from not so developed community, I followed my familys\' decision to pursue engineering. After 4 years of graduation, the same decision to make: My Dream or a job in one of the largest banks of the world as an analyst.

Action:

I took the job but gave equal priority to fullfill my dream. I had joined theatrical classes on weekends. The job helped me financially to join these classes. After the office hours, I would rehearse for the various plays. Sleeping for 4 hours a day wouldn\'t demotivate me to pursue my dreams. During the weekends, I would pull up my socks for a high intensity acting classes and rehearsals, but on empty stomach. This monotonic life went on for around 3 years. But it is not the same anymore.

Result:

Firstly, I dont work anymore for the bank. Secondly, I have a theatrical play to enact every fortnight. But I am happy to be seen in a TV sitcom that airs once in a week. This keeps me going even though I dreamt of being a movie actor. The situational comedy or more so, a sitcom gives me immense pleasure as it makes millions of followers happy and joyful in their stressful life. Lastly, I get a motivational boost when I receive a call from my mother saying \" Son, U make me proud not just happy.\"
