A circle has a radius of 4cm. A sector of the circle has a central angle of 140 degree. Find the area of the sector. Do not round any intermediate computations. Round your answer to the nearest tenth.

Solution

Given that r=4cm and theta=140 degrees

The area of the sector (A) = ((theta)/360)*(pi)r^2

= ((140)/360)* (pi) (4)^2

= 19.54 cm^2

A circle has a radius of 4cm. A sector of the circle has a central angle of 140 degree. Find the area of the sector. Do not round any intermediate computations
