Solution
3T3-L1 fibroblasts: What are they?
3T3-L1 is a cell line derived from adipose tissue of mouse. These cell lines have enhanced secretion and accumulation of triglycerides.
What must you do to get them to differentiate?
Please note that the actual differentiation process takes several weeks to occur e.g. 2 - 5 weeks.
Signs of differentiation
In starting, patch formation occurs. This is the first sign of differentiation. As time proceeds, a significant percentage of the population of cells will change.
