Geometry related physics problem I need to know how to solve

Geometry related physics problem. I need to know how to solve for the vertical distance between A & B to get a total perpindicular distance from A to C

310 N 30° r= 1.4 m 1.92 m 0.56 m Fig. P6.75

Solution

angle = 30 deg

applying sine rule to find the vertical distance AB

sin 30 = perpendicular / hypotenuse

hypotenuse = radius of the circle = 1.4m

1/2 = perpendicular / 1.4

perpendicular AB = .7 m
