Find the solutions of the equation that are in the interval

Find the solutions of the equation that are in the interval [0, 2 pi). (If there is no solution, enter NO SOLUTION.) 5 sin^2 u + sin u - 18 = 0

Solution

5sin^u +sinu -18 =0

factorise : 5sin^u + 10sinu - 9sinu -18 =0

5sinu( sinu +2) -9(sinu +2 ) =0

(5sinu -9)(sinu +2) =0

5sinu =9 ; sin= 9/5 which is greater than 1 ;>1

sinu = - 2 which is greater than 1 ; > 1
