1) Microsporida is a obligate unicellular parasite. As it is unicellular, it is intially considered as a protistans, but latter identified as a fungi.

2) It causes infection in both verterbrates and invertebrates.it infects insects, crustaceans, fish and humans. In humans it cause microsporidiosis.

3) Microsporidia caused several other diseases such as Enterocytozoon bieneusi, Enterocytozoon,Nosema,Pleistophora,Trachipleistophora, Encephalitozoon, and Vittaforma.

4) Microsporidia survive under favourable conditions by producing spores,in which, exospore is dense and endospore of the spore is made of polysaccharide, chitin.
