Determine the area under the standard normal curve that lies between the Z values

Determine the area under the standard normal curve that lies between (a) Z = -2.26 and Z = 2.26, (b) Z = -0.42 and Z = 0, and(c)Z = - l.62 and Z = 1.77. (a) The area that lies between Z = -2.26 and Z = 2.26 is. (b) The area that lies between Z = -0.42 and Z = 0 is. (c) The area that lies between Z = -1.62 and Z = 1.77 is.

Solution

a.) P(-2.26<Z<2.26) = 0.9881 - (1-0.9881) = 0.9762

b.) P(-0.42<Z<0) = 0.5 - (1-0.6628) = 0.1628

c.) P(-1.62<Z<1.77) = 0.9616 - (1-0.9474) = 0.9090
