Is it possible for an xintercept of an equation to simultane

Is it possible for an x-intercept of an equation to simultaneously be a y-intercept?

Solution

X- Intercept of an equation means the point where the curve of equation cuts x axis

The y coordinate of such curve is equal to 0

Hence the x intercept of the equation looks like (x, 0)

Similarly y- intercept of the equation looks like (0, y)

We can see that both these points will be same only if x=0 and y =0

Hence the only possibility of a point which is x-intercept as well as y-inbtercept of an equation is (0,0) that is origin
