He wants to put two coats of paint on the barn. He priced Gladden Premium Exterior Paint and found that he can purchase a 5 gallon can of paint for $98.82. How much will he spend, not including sales tax?

Total surface area to be covered = 2200 sq ft.
2 coats so, we gotta cover 4400 sq ft

Number of gallons = 4400/360 = 110/9 gallons

He will need 110/9 divided by 5, i.e 22/9 cans of paint

This will cost : 22/9 * 98.82 = 241.56 dollars

So, total cost = 241.56 dollars
