Solution

Since the coelom is completely lined by mesodermal layer, presence of musculature facilitates peristalsis. Pseudocoelom is not completely lined with coelomic epithelical layers. So, the gut wall is made up of endodermis and is nonmusclular. This inhibits the peristalsis in the gut.
