1. As per given data Ashley is exactly middle in the race which can be taken as x/2.

Betty is behind Ashley which is 10 th place so it is clear that ashley is in 9th place

where x/2=9

x=18

irrespective of carries position the total no of players are 18

As for every game the winner is only one, runners in the game are 17.

2. As per given data his age in 2015 be 4x

in 2016 be 5(x+1)

in 2018 be 6(x+3) which is not less than 100

so the nearest divisible of 6 near 100 is 96 from 2018

his year of birth is 1922.

3. from the given data jim\'s age in this year is multiple of seven which is in between 20 and 80

so writing the age in multiple of 7 it may be 21,28,35,42,49,56,63,70,77---------- (a)

next year jim\'s age will be multiple of 5 it may be 25,30,35,40,45,50,55,60,65,70,75

adding 1 to this 26,31,36,41,46,51,56,61,66,71,76--------(b)

among these two (a) and (b)

the common value is 56 which is present age
