In the planetary gear train the following stages occur:

I am going to assume shaft A and the planetary gear D is fixedLets move from the output side.

1.Gear 7 moves in CCW.

2.Gear 4 moves in fixed.

3.Gear 6 moves in CCW.

4. Gear 6 connected to gear 5 will make gear gear 5 move in CCW as well.

5. This causes gear 2 to move in CW.

6.Gear 2 connected to gear 1.Hence gear 1 is CW.

7.This causes C to move CW.

NOTE: I am viewing the directions from the left side (output side).

7. Gear 3 is CCW.
