Suppose a bank\'s currency reserve contains 78% ones, 10 % fives, 7% tens, 4 % twenties and 1% one hundred dollar bills. If you were going to graphically represent these presentages using scaled versions of the corresponding bills, what heights would you use? How do you find the ratio of height to width of a dollar bill?

These percentage can be represented using a Hitsogram.

The height should be in the same proportion as the proportion of currency reserve. It can be 7.8 cm for the ones, 1.0 cm for the fives, 0.7 cm for the tens, 0.4 cm for the twenties and 0.1 cm for the hundred dollar bills.

The height of a dollar bill is 6.6294 cm and the width is 15.5956 cm.

Therefore, the ratio of the height to the width of a dollar bill is 6.6294/15.5956 = 261/614 = 0.4251
