Calculation of volume of cut

Vcut = ( ( Ac1+Ac2)/2) * (L/27)

Ac1 is cut area at 1st end

Ac2 is cut area at 2nd end

Calculation of volume of fill

Vfill = (( Af1+Af2)/2) * (L/27)

Af1 is fill area at 1st end

Af2 is fill area at 2nd end

Calculation for 11+00 station

Vcut = ((0+580)/2) * (100/27) = 1074.07

Vfill = ((0+0)/2) * ( 100/27) = 0

Total cut = Vcut - stripping cut = 1074.074-80 = 994.0741  

Total fill = Vfill + stripping fill = 0+0 = 0

Adjusted fill = Total fill / 0.9 = 0/0.9 = 0

Algebraic sum = total cut - adjusted fill = 994.0741 - 0 = 994.0741
