How many grams of NaCl are needed to make a 9% (w/v) solution in 50mL?
Solution
9% NaCl means 9 gm of NaCl in 100 ml of water. But here we need 50 ml volume. So the amount of NaCl required to make 50 ml solution is 9/ 2 = 4.5 gm.
So inorderd to make 50 ml of 9% NaCl, we need to dissolve, 4.5 gm of NaCl in 25 ml distalled water and make final volume upto 50 ml with water
