Issues of care delivery is of 3types

1: Nurse to patient ratio:-reasonable no of nurses should be their for proper care of patients it does mean to nurse hours per inpatient day

2:Total nursing staff /hours per patient day :-all staffs /all hours per care are counted per patient day is the no of days that any patient stays in hospitals that means if a patient stays for 10 days it will be treated as 10 patient days

3:Nurse skill:-the proportion of percentage of hours of care provided by one category of care giver divided by total hours of care .

Model of care delivery is of 4 types

1: patient focussed care:-a model focussing to the patient I.e the activity like drawing of blood and testing for different parameters to diagnose the disease

2:primary/total nursing care here licensed staffs provide nursing care all time to patient which allows care for the same patient through out the patients day.

3:team/functional nursing care:- here activities like bathing , feeding and other duties common to nurse aids and orderlies , it can also divide the work by function such as medication nurse or treatment nurse .

4:-magnet hospital environment/shared governance:-it is characterised as good places of nurses to work. It includes high degree of autonomy allows for shared decision making
