Below is something called a \"Type III AASHTO Concrete \"1\" Girder.\". The Ohio Department of Transportation uses them for their bridges. Find the horizontal centroidal axis. You can check your answer on the ODOT website!!

  Solution
The centroid is a point about which the distribution of particles on the either side of the axis is the same. It is the arithmetic mean of position of all the particles in the structure. Since the centroid axis is defined as the arithmetic mean of position of all particles, if we assume two particles separated by a certain distance, we find the centroid axis to be in the middle of them. Hence, if viewed from the axis, the two particles are symmetric and equidistant.
In the problem specified above, the object under consideration is symmetric. And for all symmetric objects, centroid axis passes through the axis about which they are symmetric. In this case, 11\'\' from the start of the base of the pillar, a line through y-axis
