7 As a general rule of thumb good beer ie IPAs porters stout

7. As a general rule of thumb good beer (i.e. IPAs, porters, stouts) should be served at 7-10 °C. Assume Panini Pete’s serves their beer at 7 °C. The temperature in the lounge area is 18 °C and the relative humidity is 50%, will condensation form on your glass? (4 points). Now suppose Panini Pete’s serves the same beer at a tailgate in Morgantown where the outside temperature is 10 °C. and no moisture forms on your glass, what can you say about the relative humidity? (4 points) (8 points total). NOTE: Experimental data will not be counted!!! https://beerandbrewing.com/VLbISSkAADaRo- 5e/article/cold-beer-warm-beer-select-the-right-serving-temperature

Solution

1)Tbeer = 7 oC, Tlounge = 18 oC, Relative humidity = 50%

So from psychrometric chart,

The condensation temperature can be found out to be (Tcondensation) = 7.5oC

As the temperature of beer is less than condensation temperature, the condensation will form on the glass.

2) Tbeer = 7 oC, Toutside = 10 oC

As no moisture forms on the glass, we can say that relative humidity is less than 80%.

7. As a general rule of thumb good beer (i.e. IPAs, porters, stouts) should be served at 7-10 °C. Assume Panini Pete’s serves their beer at 7 °C. The temperatur
