For the two structures pictured below, would you expect the mechanical properties (such as Elastic Modulus) to be isotropic or anisotropic? Explain why as clearly, completely, and accurately as you can. in the space provided, using terminology presented in class.

Structure A : The material property is anisotropic. This is due to non uniform distribution of atoms in space lattice BCC. One edge doesn\'t contain an atom which would lead to varing physical property in that diagonal or direction.

Structure B: The material is homogenous but anisotropic. The isotropic nature of the material depends on its crystal structure. If the grains of the material are not oriented uniformly in all directions, it is not an isotropic material as in the case here. The grains are unevenly distributed.
