Identify and briefly describe a diffusion network that you have experienced, weaving support / information from our readings with your own professional practice and application.

Solution

Diffusion is the process in which an innovation is communicated through certain channels over time among members of a social system.  It is a special type of communications in that the messages are concerned with new ideas.

There are four main elements are the innovation, communication channels, time, and the social system.

Model of Diffusion:

Crucial for diffusion in networks, but all kinds of behaviors have their unique properties.  

Diffusion =  network(t)

Network(t)= network model of system constitutes diffusion environment

PSM- Probabilistic finite-state machine model of considered behavior.

(such as information, virus,etc )

Generator V(t) => SIG - specific function for simulation needs (generator of signals). Which assigns for each vertex in each simulations step a set of signals as a result of vertices first neighborhood and their states.  

These signals are received and processed by PSM on each vertex.
