Discussion:

The predicted weight change in 30% hypertonic solution outside the dialysis bag is associated with \"more weight loss due to movement of solvent out of the bag into the solution to bring equilibrium. So that it was observed net negative change in weight compared to the isotonic nature of (15/15 ratio of sucrose) weight change & compared to weight change occurred with \"hypotonic solution\". The Kool-Aid is the control group where the weight change considerably useful to compare with other hypotonic or hypertonic solutions

Conclusion:

The predicted weight change in 30% hypertonic solution outside the dialysis bag is associated with \"more weight loss due to movement of solvent out of the bag into the solution to bring equilibrium. So that it was observed net negative change in weight compared to the isotonic nature of (15/15 ratio of sucrose) weight change & compared to weight change occurred with \"hypotonic solution\". The Kool-Aid is the control group where the weight change (0.48g) considerably useful to compare with other hypotonic or hypertonic solutions

Our body fluids contain salts dissolved and or suspended in water. These fluids are present both in intracellular and extracellular fluids, separated by a semi permeable membrane & these aspects of osmosis was explained by above dialysis experiment in comparison to Kool-Aid control

According to the concentration of the solute, the water move across the membrane (osmosis), this ability of osmosis to draw water to build up certain pressure is called osmotic pressure. So, water always moves to maintain uniform pressure in and outside of the cell, hence all the intracellular and extracellular fluids are isotonic.

The fluids having lower osmotic pressure than the body fluids are known as hypotonic solutions.

The fluids having more osmotic pressure than the body fluids are known as hypertonic solutions.
