As given in your figure measure pitch diameter from scale as given in the question from figure given.

after that apply formula as i have given for each figure.

i.e.

for first one P_d = 8/d

b) Diametral pitch is the ratio of number of teeth to the pitch circle diameter in millimeter which signify the meshing of gears. If gear and pinnion have same dimetrical pitch then they can mesh.
