With regard to your nervous system, what is the difference between a reflex and a voluntary movement? BE SPECIFIC about what parts of the nervous system are involved during each type of movement.
Solution
Voluntry response involve the brain, control movement via sending out the motor impulse and it is voluntry in nature For example, any person uses sight to walk straight. but reflex action is a response is a involuntry response and cannot be controled for example any person removes its hand immediately after touching any hot suraface.
In voluntry response the motor signals are initiated by known thoughts and it sensory stimuli response. reflex response cannot be initiated by previous thoughts and the stimulus of reflex response signal travels along a sensory nerve to the spinal cord and the sognal comes back via of a motor nerve
Most of the reflex signals could be processed in the spine with some exception.
voluntry stimulation is initiated at Cerebral cortex of the Brain. The singal travels from cerebral cortex to the spinal cord.
Reflex action initiated by stimulation of receptor present on skin and dendrites and sensory neurons are responsible for the travelling of impulse to the central spinal cord.
