 Subject Area Module:
 In Subject Area Model, different subject Areas can be grouped by high level business categories in an enterprise model.
 The sole purpose of a Subject Area Model is to provide an structure for organising an Enterprise by specific business subjects rather than by applications. The fundamental Idea is divide and conquer.
 A subject area is a high level category for the related business concepts of central interest.
 The Subject Area Model allows the enterprise to pull itself out from and above the project driven view of the functioning business and look at the real things that are important to the business, and how those real things relate to one another.
 Subject Area Model draws out the relationship between the subject areas as Aggregation, generalisation and association.
 Conceptual Model:
 Its the second level in an Enterprise Data Model EDM.
 CDM provides foundaion for the logical and physical modeling, but not all CDM entities will be translated into physical entities.
 Created from the definition and identification of major business concepts of each subject area.
 Its a high level data model, with having an average of 10-12 concepts of per subject area.
 Concepts convey a much greater business details than subject areas.
 Sometimes, subject area definitions are updated as the discoveries made during the development of conceptual delivery model.
