2. If a real number a is positive, then its multiplicative inverse a^-1 is positive.

Solution

we have a real positive number \'a\'

now its multiplicative inverse is 1/a

let assume b = 1/a

=> a*b = 1

=> we know that multiple of two positive number is also positive

since a is positive and non zero and 1 is also positive

=> (positive)*b = positive

=> so \'b\' means \'1/a\' must be positive

Hence proved!!!!
