If a company is online, it is global. Anyone in the world can order its products. What do you think about e-commerce? Does it cannibalize brick-and-mortar stores? Who benefits the most? Who is hurt the most? Is e-commerce a viable option of going global for a company? In other words, is it enough for a company to be online to be global, or does it need to have a presence in the foreign country?

It is the process of buying and selling products and services via computer networks including the internet. It involves the electronic trading of goods, services, and electronic material. E-commerce involves three phases:- a) Electronic advertising of goods and services over the internet. b) agreements are concluded over the internet by using servers. c) physical goods are transferred throgh various means of transport and in case of digitized products, delivery is made electronically.

Customers can buy goods and services while sitting at home after comparing all the products and services side by side and the get the delivery of their products at the their home. Businesses also benefits from e-commerce as they can make direct contact with customers and have a quick response from them and accordingly provide goods and services as per the needs of customers.

Small retail traders who can not afford the e-commerce were hurt most because of use of e-commerce.
